<p>Following on from the train of thought in my last email: it would be simple enough to detect self spotting at the network level and enforce some reasonable number/hour of onward transmission of such spots. There will be a new version out before the weekend and I can put this function in ready for that release.</p>

<p>It will be possible to tune this to taste and to switch it off completely. But I strongly believe that something of this nature should be on by default.</p>
