<p>I have not tried AWS for several years. But when I found that DXSpider did not run very well (neither did it run well on Google's equivalent). As far as I can tell this was due to the large number of (small) disk transfers. If you are intending to try this out and you expect a large no of users, then you need to test it thoroughly - loading it as best you can. With a lot of users you will probably need at least 2GB RAM. This is necessary to provide some headroom for the asynchronous processes that, for example sh/dx uses. But you only need one processor. And 30GB disk is plenty. </p>
