Dear Pelican,
 
Sorry to bombard you with another sponsorship request but I promise to send this out only once.
 
Against my better judgement I have been persuaded to cycle from London to Paristhis summer starting July 17th in aid of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of babies and children in the UK. The thought of my not inconsiderable weight focused on that tiny saddle for four days is already giving me nightmares, but I am hoping that the pain will give way to numbness after a time. We should finish in Paristhe day before the Tour de France, so I hope to stay and watch Wiggo do the double in the 100th running of the world's greatest cycle race.
