JIM SHARPE MEMORIAL AUCTION

Many Club Members will remember a great man of Pelicans called Jim Sharpe who died a few years ago.

Jim's Widow, Edna, has moved from their Denver home which is now going to be cleared and sold.

Not only was Jim a stalwart and committed Pelican (ex-President) he was a big fan of Denver Ladies HC and a proper man of Norfolk - collecting over his many years an Aladdin's Cave of local memorabilia, much to do with the land but also from his Downham Market and West Norfolk life.

The Club has the opportunity of helping the Family with some hard graft to set about tidying up Orchard House, Bates Wood outside in the garden and grounds - and by getting involved in an Auction of some of Jim's "stuff" gathered and stashed in his and Edna's home for decades.

The Auction will be on Saturday, 24th May - please be ready to volunteer to help then and also with some serious site clearance on Sunday, 11th May.
The Family has readily agreed that this is a wonderful opportunity to link Pelicans past with Pelicans future and has generously consented to a significant donation from the proceeds of the Auction going towards our fund raising this year for our pitches.  Please answer the call and get involved!
