Monnica said, re my comments on your great singing:

"That despite you putting your hands over your ears, which several of us noticed, when we were singing the lovely Vaughan Williams ' oh how amiable ' with Sue's lovely organ accompaniment?"

I'm sorry if this gave a bad impression. A few people already know that I have had hyperacusis for a decade or so, and it's getting worse. It means that loud and/or high sounds are painful - which is why I can't have the piano/keyboard right next to the sopranos, and sometimes have to stop my ears with organ music (and even some loud speakers in church, such as my former vicar - with my earplugs in, I could still hear him preach, but without the pain!). It's very frustrating, and it may mean that my piano accompanying days are limited. So please bear with me while I can enjoy it!

Alison
