[Dxspider-support] Installing PERL On A Secondary IDE Drive

Hi,
 
Can PERL be installed on a disk drive that is installed as the Master on
the secondary IDE?  Reason I ask is that PERL ran into trouble when I
tried to install it.  It said "Error Writing To Disk".  The drive is
functioning and has been properly formatted using FDISK first and then
FORMAT.  Any help is appreciated.
