The 'sh/dx' command alone shows it correctly:

When looking to ~spider/data/spots/2002/354.dat:
18156.7^7X2DG^1040382120^QRZ^JH4FEB^303^95^JA4ZDT
28011.0^6W1/F8IXZ^1040382180^^RN3OK^298^179^K1TTT-14

18140^XU7ACE^1040382300^ ^OK1XH^230^133^OK0DXH-1
When I edit the record so that it has '%.1f' format as normally would have, everything is then fine.
