Hi Dirk.

I just tried it on a third spider here which has also always been updated with
cvslatest.tgz. The result is exactly the same. This time I even tried "set/badspotter" as
the first command.

This is before any of the commands were used:

sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data > ls -l bad*
-rw-rw-r--    1 sysop    spider        394 Mar 30 10:05 badw_regex
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101           235 Oct 19  2001 badw_regex.es.issue
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101           392 Oct 19  2001 badw_regex.gb.issue
-rw-rw-r--    1 sysop    spider       2519 Mar 30 09:15 badword
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101          2546 Oct  4  2001 badword.issue
sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data >

Then I did "set/badspotter oz1lqh", "set/baddx xx0xx" and "set/badnode yy0yy" and this
is what it looks like then.

sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data > ls -l bad*
-rw-rw-r--    1 sysop    spider        111 Jun 28 05:26 baddx
-rw-rw-r--    1 sysop    spider        394 Mar 30 10:05 badw_regex
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101           235 Oct 19  2001 badw_regex.es.issue
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101           392 Oct 19  2001 badw_regex.gb.issue
-rw-rw-r--    1 sysop    spider       2519 Mar 30 09:15 badword
-rw-r--r--    1 oz1lqh   101          2546 Oct  4  2001 badword.issue
sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data >

This is the content of baddx:

sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data > mtype baddx
bless( {
  YY0YY => 1025242006,
  OZ1LQH => 1025241972,
  XX0XX => 1025241987,
  name => 'baddx'
}, 'DXHash' )
sysop at oz2dxd:/spider/data >

Even when I did the "set/badspotter" as the first command it still created the baddx file.

Now I have tried it on 3 different OZ nodes and they all behave the same way. All
running SuSE and a not very old spider. I think oz2dxd is running the same version as
oz5dig-7.
