[Dxspider-support] Re: NO User AX25 Connects

Hey John,

Got it working today. Users are connecting. I guess in the course of
trying to get it going over the last couple of weeks, Duh, I forgot to start
ax25d. I also had a callsign wrong in axports. Once I fixed the callsign
and start ax25d all was working well.

I download the rpm files from http://www.gb7mbc.net/installation-3.html
you will see then down the page a little. I could not get the regular
packages to load without errors. The rpm packages loaded fine.

BTW, I am using Red Hat 7.1 upgraded with Red Hat 7.2 and the Linux
Kernel 2.4.18, I downloade the kernel from http://www.kernel.org --just
follow the links. I compiled all the AX25 stuff into the Kernel. No
modules. I was about ready to go back to some other kernel.... when the
darn thing started working. I have had it running most of the afternoon
with no problem.

I still have a few errors to clear up with my connect scripts. Plus to
automate the process and maybe to add some of the nice to have
features, etc to DX Spider.

Picking up some new (to me) monobanders for 10, 15 and 20 Meters.
So I will probably take a break from this keyboard and work on getting
the antennas up and running.

Thanks for the help... Everyone Thanks!!
