Hi Clas-Olaf,
Spider cannot and does not alter the SSID of any station connecting into
it.  All spider does is simply pass on what it gets via the client on
connect.  I suspect the culprit is AGW or whatever you are fronting it
with.  The SSID conversion is well known with BPQ type nodes and can be
a pain.  As Rene says, under Linux the solution is simple, however I am
sure you can turn off the conversion somewhere in the interface program
you are using.
