I am afraid the Changes file went thru several rapid changes last night
as the fallout of this big upgrade became apparent. The latest version
is, I believe, now correct.
The problem was that I didn't realise that Compress::Zlib was not
universally installed. I thought it was - spookily all the changes
occured because, although it IS installed by default on Windows, I
couldn't make it work there. Even more spookily, on further thought, it
appears that the only reason it didn't work is, probably, because the
file I was trying to read directly in compressed mode didn't have a .gz
on the end - just how stupid is that?
Sorry about the mess up. I now have my Windows box back up and running
(it has been slightly ill for a while) and it is running the US DB
enabled software. It even seems to work for me.
