Arnold has put me straight on what he was trying say (which I had not
spotted). Point 4 should read:-

4. remove /spider/data/usdb.v1

(not user.v1)

Please don't be tempted to remove /spider/data/users.v2, this is a
different database (although this might change in due course ...)
