[Dxspider-support] Users vs Performance?

Kelly -

A few thoughts:

Kernel 2.4.5 is pretty old.  I recommend getting a later version,
e.g., 2.4.20.

When console.pl hangs, try going to another VT and running either
'ps aux' or top to see what process might be hogging the resources.  

BTW, I'm also running perl 5.6.1 here and am not experiencing any
issues.
