Dear All,

I've looked at the USDB route filtering feature and was thinking to use the
USDB more than just for that.

In a good week we'll have the ARRL contest where the multipliers for
non-US|VE stations are the US states and Canadian provinces. It would be
nice to see the STATE of each US station that is being spotted. Until now
there are a few ways of getting that information; look it up yourself on a
CD rom or via qrz.com or hoping that the person who places the spot includes
the also the STATE in the comment field. These options either take long or
depend on the 'grace' of the one who places the spot.

With the USDB already present in spider I presume it's not that much work t
create an option like "set/usstate" which will put the state in the comment
field. Something like set/dxgrid. If spider adds the state on a fixed place
in the comment field I'm sure logging programs like N1MM can filter that and
tell you if it's a new multiplier...!

What say?
