[Dxspider-support] QRZ.com suggestion

Hi Dirk and all,

Noted the discourse on qrz.com lately but all this is fine
for those users having direct access to an internet node. We
, and probably many others , don't. Our access is via a
packet link to an internet connected node so we cannot use
sh/qrz locally ( except by rcmd from the sysop terminal ).

Some tests done recently showed a possible way but
it involves an rcmd command. An alias called SH/ADR was set
up at my next in line cluster which pointed at SH/QRZ. No
database was needed. At my cluster end SH/ADR was pointed at
an rcmd to send SHOW/ADR <callsign> to the internet node
which then translated it to sh/qrx <call>

This avoided any useage of sh/qrz at this end which would
have failed as there is no local inet connection.

The line used in Aliases ( in local_cmd ) was this :-
'^sh w*/adr$', 'rcmd gb7wdx show/adr', 'show', (where gb7wdx
is the internet connected node with access to sh/qrz )
The drawback is that it needs privs of 7 ( there's a missing
backslash before w. My keyboard is playing up ).

My question is this , then . Is it possible to create sh/adr
as a global command for all users with priv's of 7 ( BUT
ONLY FOR this command ) so that packet linked clusters can
use (remotely) sh/qrz ? . Someone somewhere might be
working on a much more erudite solution so I don't mind
being shot down. I just offer it as an idea for the melting
pot.

- Regards Colin
