[Dxspider-support] Replace BPQ Switch

Thanks in advance for any information.

We have an X1J TNC remoted some distance from an AK1A node that we are
considering replacing with a DXSpider node. The X1J TNC is linked to a BPQ
switch over a 9.6kb serial link to a computer which has 4 additional radio
ports using two 2-port DRSI cards. I was going to replace the BPQ switch
and AK1A node computers with a single Linux box with the two 2-port DRSI
cards and feed the 9.6kb serially remoted x1j into one of the serial ports.
My problem is that I'm not sure what data is coming from the X1J TNC. Is
the data on the serial port of an X1J TNC kiss data?

Any information would be appreciated. The node computers are about 200
miles away from my home QTH, and the X1J TNC is about 150 miles beyond that
location. Since I am doing this project remotely, so I don't have an
opportunity to be at the node location to survey the present equipment and
the data on the serial link.
