Dirk,
         AFAIK having run an ak1a cluster for a year ,
announces to a group are not an option nor announces to a
distro unless PDQ engneered something especially that I am
unaware of. The only similarity I can think of is announces
to specified stations as part of a connect script if the
connect fails. If there's anything I can supply from the
ak1a sysop manual , shout !
