The Spider adminmanual_en.txt shows the following modules as being
required and I indicate what Debian packages I am using:

  o Data-Dumper-2.101.tar.gz - This is contained in perl-base.

  o TimeDate-1.10.tar.gz - libtimedate-perl

o IO-1.20.tar.gz (for perl 5.00403 and lower) - not applicable here

  o Net-Telnet-3.03.tar.gz - libnet-telnet-perl

  o Curses-1.06.tar.gz - libcurses-perl

  o Time-HiRes-01.20.tar.gz - Stable has libtime-hires-perl, but
this does not exist for testing or
unstable. Maybe I had it at one
time and it became uninstalled because
of a removed dependency. See below.

  o Digest-SHA1-2.01.tar.gz - libdigest-sha1-perl

I didn't realize that Time-HiRes was missing!

I just ran 'dh-make-perl Time::HiRes' and then did cd into the
directory it created and ran 'debian/rules binary' and it created
libtime-hires-perl_1.52-1_i386.deb, which I installed. If you are
running stable, just install the program from the Debian archive. I
don't know where high resolution timing is used by Spider, but suspect
that it wasn't all that critical, since I haven't seen any problems.

I hope this helps.
