[Dxspider-support] Mail (internet smtp)

Gus,
My ISP blocks outbound port 25 traffic. However, their SMTP server
will relay mail originating inside their network. I am running postfix
here and there is a line in the config file to specify a relay host.
sendmail's config should also. Just set the relay host to your ISP's
smtp server. As long as they will relay for you, there should not be a
problem. It should be the same server that is specified for outgoing
mail in your regular email program.

Mike, W1NR

There is a feature that mails that arrive to the spider node, adressed
to a user that has set their e-mail adress(set/email), will be forwarded
via internet to their e-mail adress. (I think it works like this, I AM
USING LINUX).

This was working before on my node, but not any longer since my ISP
blocked SMTP on port 25 to all other hosts then their own smtp server.

Is there any way around this? Can I somewhere define that I want all
e-mails (probably mails sent with "sendmail") to go to a specific smtp
server?

ps. I am using the CHAT command, how about you?

Oh OK..
well I was trying to reply to a "ALL" message but it went personal...

still don't explain why mail would not leave the system, the other user
was
there at the time..
is there a wait time before it goes??
the user was visible at the time, eeepp
