The most frequent problem I've seen for a node not accepting pings is
that the initialization is not complete.  If you do a "who" command and
the rtt is 999, then initialization is not complete and pings will not
be exchanged.

Ian, turn your connect script back down to me.  My node is now running
full time here in Florida.
