Hi Tony,

Our cluster is in a remote area. it has an rf user port and an rf link 
to the town where the internet site is. The data from the internet is 
sent to the remote cluster. The reverse also works for spotting. The 
cluster does not have to be at the internet end. So if you move the 
cluster to site "A" and feed it from site "B" you will have what you 
desire, a high location for the user ports.

I ran it both ways, Linux at the internet end and windows at the user 
end, but ended up with linux at both ends. It was very stable and ran 
for more than 100 days with out a reset. The 1200 baud 220 link ran with 
out a hick-up, even during contests.
