Roger:
Why do you think you should be connecting to port 3000 to reach your 
DXSpider node?  Did you configure listeners.pm to use port 3000?  Check 
to see that you're not circling some axle.

In the FWIW category, there can be a bit of confusion in the ax25 
install directions.  Those guys on the right (er... East side) of the 
Atlantic use the term "node" in reference to netrom.  Us folks on the 
left side of the ocean tend to use the term "node" to refer to an AK1A, 
DXSpider, ARCluster nodes.  Took me a bit to understand this distinction.
