[Dxspider-support] AX-25 compile help needed

I hate to reply to my own post but in hopes of assisting someone else, 
here goes.

as posted by Bernard Pidoux, provides all the magic to make libax25, 
ax25-tools, and ax25-apps compile and run on the new 2.6 kernels. I now 
have it running on 2.6.23.9 and all seems well.
I was unable to find this anywhere else as all of the links point to the 
old 2001'ish HOW-TO.
