[Dxspider-support] perl versions

Ok ..... I finally figured out that I have perl v5.8.0 built for
i586-linux-thread-multi - perl -v
and it's been working just fine on  Version  1.52 (build  61.154) on Linux
SuSe 8.2.0

I download CVSlatest.tgz and
ActivePerl-5.8.8.820-i686-linux-glibc-2.2.4-gcc-274679.tar.gz

Now for the dumb question .....
Is Active Perl 5.8.8.820 fine?
On the cpan modules ----- Should I get the latest versions of everything I
can find and install them?

And then get the newest CVSlatest.tgz?
