After having moved the spider tree from one to the other pc,
cvs updates do not work anymore.

cvs update  -d

cvs update: No CVSROOT specified! Please use the '-d' option
cvs [update aborted]: or set the CVSROOT environment variable.

Which I would like to do if I knew how.
I do not want to try any of the commands which I find on various
web pages  not to make things even worse.

Please advise!
