I may be wong...I seem to recall a limit of 64 telnet users, was this imposed by CPAN for Windows as provided by Activestate, or is it a fundamental limitation. Perhaps the Linux version does not have this limit?

Subject: [Dxspider-support] IMPORTANT: notice of important change(s)

I think I have finally got sick and tired of DB_File and its unreliability, not to mention periods of non-availability of packages on Activestate. I intend to use sqlite3 as the base ISAM engine instead. Note that I did not use the database word there...

Mentioning Activestate, I also investigating whether to recommend a change of M$ perl to http://strawberryperl.com/. It seems that this version of perl for M$ is more up to date and better supported with CPAN packages. Larry Wall uses it, so that must be some kind of recommendation...

This doesn't mean that it will not work on Activestate, or even that I won't support it - but may mean that my stock answer might be: "have you tried it on Strawberry Perl".

Feel free to argue or even agree...
