These days, I would recommend Strawberry Perl. I am not convinced that 
any of the latest ActiveState perls support a working DB_File. At least 
the Strawberry Perl will allow one to pull this from CPAN, if it isn't 
already packaged (IIRC it's supposed to be in the core these days).
