The nice things about standards is that there are quite a few to choose from ...

So far as I am concerned, put me down as:    "this is actually a total non-issue, so far as DX Spider is concerned".

The reciprocal agreement between US and Canada requires that the
operator use a "portable" or SUFFIX of the country rather than a prefix.
This is in direct conflict with IARU rules that say to use a prefix, but
it was adopted LONG ago before there were standards.
