The file can be reconstituted (whilst the node is running) by running
/spider/perl/create_dxqsl.pl in a shell session. This trawls through all
the spot files and regenerates the dxqsl.vl file. Once it has done its
thing, you can enable it with a load/dxqsl command in a console.
As to what it does is simulate something like the AK1A add-on call the
"GO List" (IIRC). It attempts to extract any information about QSL
managers that might exist in spot comments. This happens in realtime.
Each new spot that comes in, is examined for patterns that might be a
QSL destination. Some examples:
sh/dxqsl EC5BUH

EC5BUH EA1FDD 78 16-Dec-2022 1036Z EA1BPC

Hope this helps
