[Dxspider-support] Changes problem 1.57

I would like to ask you for help:
If I remember correctly, it was 1.57 build 418.
I just watched the update and followed the instructions
http://www.dxcluster.org/download/
So what should I do:
as root: /etc/init.d/dxspider stop

log in as the sysop user.
git clone git://scm.dxcluster.org/scm/spider spider.new
cp -a spider.new/.git /spider
rm -rf spider.new
cd /spider
git reset --hard

The welcome message now tells me:
      running DXSpider V1.55 build 2.50 git: master/9fb58f4a2
What do I do wrong? or what is the correct procedure to update?
It runs Debian 11.

If I could ask for an installation script?
