[Dxspider-support] set/badip - what are its effects?

Ah, sorry pardon. New(ish) feature. No documentation available. At the 
moment at least.

yes

no, but if you send it to me I can arrange for it to be promulgated. I 
will need some examples of the sort of issue that caused you to block 
that IP.

Set/lockout is an "original feature" which has been available since 
1997. It only prevents callsigns from logging into the (local) node. 
These days it most likely to be used in an administrative way for 
stopping unwanted nodes connecting.

Set/badip is a response to people who use different callsigns, but the 
same IP address (or small range eg /28 or /29 or even /30) to send 
abusive/made up/generally erroneous spots or announces to the cluster.

I maintain a central list which can be subscribed to which is used in 
addition to any local ones.
