[Dxspider-support] POTA / SOTA feeds?

Hi Everyone,
I am a new user to N3FJP and there has been a thread between their customers asking about SOTA and POTA spot feed support.  It has been stated that there apparently used to be feeds from these entities that directly feed into the cluster network but that they were asked to take them down due to noise and possibly the interference with contests?

Does anyone have any more information related to the history of these feeds?  I would have assumed they would have come into the network with SOTA or POTA in the comment or a standard spotter which could then be filtered out for those not wanting to see them?  With POTA being an international thing (and I like to play POTA a bit myself), I was hoping there would be a way to bring these feeds back into the network.  I would not mind using my node as an onramp but wanted to reach out to the group for feedback as a first step.
