Dear list members:
First of all, please remember that english is not my mother language, so
excuse me if you think my expressions are too rude or not polite enough.
So, let's go!
These last days I am very happy to see more and more people
participating and being interested in the list contents. However, I feel
somehow disappointed by the tone used in some of the posts sent, and I
would want you (me) to remember some things:
- None is/has been oblied to be a dx-cluster sysop.
- None is/has been forced to use dxspider software.
- None has payed a penny for use this software. There are other softs,
(some of them which have to be payed and some others not) Everybody is
free to choose any of them.
- We are so lucky to have a colleague, Dirk G1TLH, who is/has been
working on this software for decades, and with no benefit. FOR FREE.
- We also have people -as Kin EA3CV and others- on the list who are
always trying to help to both newcomers and old-timers to handle the
problems we can find when installing or updating manage the software.
FOR FREE.
Be aware that all of us -they included- do have a life beyond the "sysop
or helpdesk job". None is being payed for develope, fix , document, or
any work related to this.

None of the members of the list is being payed for giving a HelpDesk
service.

So, please, gentlemen, be conscious of all this, and be polite when,
while posting, you do demand any kind of change, information,
documentation, etc. This is a work that ANY MEMBER of the list can do.
And none is oblied to.
Recently a member of the list -Chris G1FEF- has retaken the wiki job
-remember, FOR FREE)- and asked here for hep. How many members have
answered?
As JFK could have said, "Ask not what DXspider can do for you - ask what
you can do for DXspider"
So again, please, be polite and have all this in mind while "demanding"
any kind of FREE service.
Again, excuse me for not using the most appropriated words. I've tried
to. But I thing I have been clear enough.
Thank you and 73 de Mikel EA2CW
