[Pelicans] welcome/test message

Apologies for my lack of response regarding the mailing list until now.

I think this is a fine idea as it will allow anyone to contact all members
by typing just one address. It will also reduce the traffic and activity on
Budgen's server as only one message is being sent, so I'm sure they'll be
grateful when any large attachments go out!

Maintenance of the list wil still need to be carried out but it's probably
just as easy as maintaining a group in an address book?

The only possible downside to it may be that you'll now be unble to see
individuals email addresses. I've certainly found it beneficial to grab
those addressess from a previous message when I've only wanted to send to a
few.

Otherwise this seems fine to me.

Fud.

p.s for those who've had trouble emailing me recently - my fault! My account
was set up to send out the wrong address. Please try fud@dsl.pipex.com
