Dear All

An update on Dan's progress for those of you that have been kind enough to
pledge money to the chosen charities Dan is riding for.

My last report was that on Thursday (Day 5) they had reached 1/2 way and
Skipton. On Friday (Day 6) they cycled to Nottingham to be met by family
and friends for a small quiet drink at the Hockey club. He managed the 101
miles in about 8 hours. Total miles to date 630.

Saturday saw a later start than normal leaving at 1000 after a night in his
own bed which was a struggle to get up and leave! They rode 98 miles to
Burford (near Oxford ish) but still managed to find hills and climbed 3,000'
over the day (nothing compared to Scotland!) Dan says he has got a 'wally'
tan ! The pain barrier has hit him a bit but Brufen did the trick!! 81/2
hours in the saddle today.728 miles done!

Sunday (Day 7) Burford to Taunton! Only 99.5 miles! Dan hit 45 mph! Dan is
still feeling good and with the promise of a cider to cheer him up from the
aching limbs plus an ice cold bath then a massage. Total miles 827.5.

Today Monday, they are riding to Tavistock a mere estimated of about 85
miles. Then Tuesday Tavistock to Truro about the same as Monday. That will
leave them just 40 miles to cycle on Wednesday to Lands End. Where they will
take photo, drink and drive up to Newquay for a night out to celebrate (for
as long as their bodies will allow them to!!

The boy has done well and is up for the final push and feeling OK - respect
to him.

Should anyone else which to donate to the charities Dan is riding too please
let me know, and thanks to those that have pledged already.

Regards

Saggy
