[Dxspider-support] Line feed

I wonder if anyone has attempted to get spider running under RedHat
linux 7.1. I made the silly mistake of upgrading from V6.1 only to find
some of the perl CPAN modules won't compile and spider throws up no end
of errors when it tries to run.

It looks as though it does not like the latest version of gcc (2.96-85)
or perl (5.6.0.12). Pity I did not know that before attempting an
upgrade. Is there any answer I wonder.
