Hi Ian,

If you have a wish list, or a list of suggestions for DX-Spider, I would
like to add my wish to it.

Just some background to explain my desire for the feature. The area I live
in has valleys of towns separated by ranges of mountains. We have nodes in
the various valleys, and under CLX we had the ability to specify several
adjacent nodes as 'local nodes'. The advantage of this feature was to be
able to make a local announcement, and it would propagate to the other nodes
specified as local nodes. The information on the nodes was contained in the
parameter file clx_par. Below is an example of the information on the
function of the local announcement and how it propagates to from W6RFU to
adjacent node N6WS-6.
-----------------------------------------
>From W6RFU node:
ann test announce to n6ws-6
-----------------------------------------
Transmitted by W6RFU node:
PC12^W6RFU-16^N6WS-6^test announce to n6ws-6^ ^W6RFU^0^H2^~^M
-----------------------------------------
Displayed on the N6WS-6 node:
To ALL de W6RFU-16: test announce to n6ws-6
-----------------------------------------

The PC12 frame is the same as if it were a directed announcement using the
command: ANN/<node> Announce message

In addition to the announce capability, it would be helpful to monitors
incoming PC16 and PC17 frames and provide Login and Logout information from
nodes specified as local nodes.

These features would be very helpful here on the Central Coast of California
where we have N6VR, W6RFU, N6WS-6, W6TK-6, and one soon to go on the air
W6AB.

Thanks for your efforts. DX-Spider is an excellent DX Cluster server.

73, Bill
