I don't know if it's the "best linux for cluster" but this afternoon I took
a PII-266 with
128 Mb of memory and loaded SuSe 8.3.1 on it. And this evening spent about 4
hours (off and on) downloading perl and all the CPAN stuff and Spider software
version 1.51 (build 57.263). Only saw the RTFM message twice (couldn't
believe
it the first time!).
The linux box has been telnetted to the WA8DX cluster (Win2K) for a couple
hours.
Very few differences from the manual ..... a couple of changes that weren't
real clear,
and I have the ax25 stuff pretty well set up, but haven't plugged any of
the MFJ 1270's
in yet. Supposed to rain tomorrow, so might get back on it again!
SuSe gets my vote ..... Even if it is Novel now!
