This is exactly how it works now. Unfortunately, the loop time is set 
(as default) to one hour (3600 secs) and this would (does :-) not make 
any difference if it takes longer than that to go round the loop.

12 hours is probably good enough. So I will reset the default to that. 
Especially it already re-triggers as you outline above.

What, I think, we should try to do though is to find the "slow loop" 
path that these PC41s (and potentially other legacy PCxx sentences) are 
going through. Because, if that path was cut, I suspect other loopy data 
would also reduce.
