Either should work, they both work here.  But I'm glad you found the
problem.  I did *add* https:// support last year, but it should not have
broken the http:// path.

BTW, any script which updates cty.dat should also update this file.  It
contains all the prefixes and sub-country regions:

    https://www.country-files.com/cty/wpxloc.raw
