[Dxspider-support] [Trouble Ticket #845] DXSpider RTTY Spots

The only reason that it is 3 characters long is to allow as much space
for the zone list to allow users to see whether the spot is being heard
by skimmers in their general area.

The "set/width 120" remark was really an answer to Kin saying there's
never enough room in 80 characters (a 1980's terminal width).

But there is a head of steam building for standardising on putting the
mode in all comments as the first token. It's never got very far because
one *has* to put it in and manual spotters don't (as a rule) and
probably won't in the future. But, as more and more people connect to
cluster nodes using programs, and if all the programs agree to do it, it
would create a de facto standard. I could even change the dx command so
that if you don't enter a recognised mode in the comment, asks for one.
