[Dxspider-support] start_connect not working

Keith-

Looking at the code in "connect.pl" it looks like "client" is a way to
reset where STDIN and STDOUT are getting their information: telnet or ax25
or some other socket. It also looks like the "connect" command sets up the
socket for you. But, my perl is really rusty.

So, I believe it's redundant in your case. I didn't have the command in my
scripts and they worked great for 13 years.
