Answering myself again as I’ve got one step further.
 
In /spider/mrtg/mrtg/cfg there’s the following line.
 
MaxBytes[users]: 500



I changed that to 1000



But when ‘mrtg all’ runs via crontab, it changes back to 500.



This is clearly the user limit, how can I change this so that it persists?

This does seem to be when the number of users connected goes above 500, I can see that last night when it dropped below that number, the graph started populating again. 
 
Is there anything I can change within MRTG that will fix this please?

Has anyone experienced this?
 
I have a gut feeling it’s when there are 500 users on the node but I’m not 100% sure.
