[Dxspider-support] You are killing all Webclusters!

*	The situation today is not so dramatic, but I agree with you that something needs to be reviewed and we have to rethink a suitable way to contrast the attacks we have seen.

1.	Register all users with a password
2.	Pass user connection state to “the network”

I would assume that a group of people capable of creating these large scale web clusters could also arrange to do the above …

Just my view.

Hi Tobias,
Just a clarification.
The list show "unverified" spot received by my node. So if I received these spots it means they were not dropped before. Not all dxspider nodes are dropping these spot for several reasons (SW not updated, different cfg from default). On my node for example the unverified spot are accepted and pass through. They are dropped only when a flood is detected and I have a direct connection with dxfun.

The situation today is not so dramatic, but I agree with you that something needs to be reviewed and we have to rethink a suitable way to contrast the attacks we have seen.

FYI,

* Unfortunately, I was not able to calculate how many "real" fake spots
were dropped due to the $DXProt::sendverify = 2, because it could not be
determined how many of the users of the webclusters analysed were
really logged at them and how many were "injected"
